Chris Kugelman graduated from our Postgraduate Diploma in Natural History Filmmaking in 2005. He and film partner Miguel Booth made their student film, "Back to the Ice," in Antarctica - a first for the course. After graduating, Chris worked for NHNZ on the series, "I Survived" and "Orangutan Island." Returning to the United States, Chris worked on several Discovery Channel productions. In 2009 he joined the "Deadliest Catch" team as a cameraman and producer. He and the Deadliest Catch team collected an Emmy award in 2010 for the show. That year, Chris was awarded Producer of the Year for best Reality Producer from the Producer's Guild of America. He has worked for the last two years as a staff producer for National Geographic and is currently filming and producing a 10-part series on great white sharks in South Africa.
