Successful collaboration and launch of ‘Science Diplomacy: New day or False Dawn?’

The Centre for Science Communication recently celebrated the
launch of the new bookScience Diplomacy: New Day or False Dawn? This important book, which explores the need for a new form of academic diplomacy ("science diplomacy") to address critical and emerging issues in foreign policy and international relations, is co-edited by the Centre's director, Professor Lloyd Davis, and Professor Robert Patman, Head of the Department of Politics at the University of Otago. It emerged from the proceedings of the 47th University of Otago Foreign Policy School, which took place in Dunedin in 2011.

The Centre for Science Communication wishes a big congratulations to Guy Ryan for winning the Young New Zealander of the Year award. Guy graduated from the Centre for Science Communication in 2010 with a Masters degree in Science and Natural History filmmaking before going on to found the Inspiring Stories Trust where he serves as Chief Executive.
